Weed Warriors is a volunteer group of Sherman residents that come together in order to stem the continuous spread of invasives on public land.
Invasives (e.g., Multi-flora Rose, Japanese Knotwood, Phragmites, Oriental Bittersweet, Winged Euonymus and Japanese Barberry) damage local habitats and wildlife. Weed Warriors does not use herbicides. Instead, it uproots and smothers these non-native invaders.

What can you do?
Volunteer - Weed Warriors could use your help! Currently we are focused on Veteran's Field and meet 3-4 times during the growing season on Saturday mornings. If you can wield a pair of loppers, a shovel or a rake - that is all it takes. together, we can make a difference!
