The Fire Marshal is certified by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. He is responsible for the enforcement of many of the sections found in Chapter 541 of the Connecticut General Statutes, and regulations under the Division of Safety, as well as numerous codes which are promulgated under the provisions of these statutes. Description of Services and Fees The Fire Marshall's Office investigates fires, reviews plans and inspects Commercial buildings (including tank trucks), reviews and issues applications for blasting. They also perform on-site inspections for removal/abandonment of storage tanks, and reviews and issue open burning permits.

Once filled out you may email them to ShermanOpenBurn@gmail.com or turn them in at the Fire Marshal's Office at the Emergency Services Facility, Route 39 North.
