Join the Sherman Library on Zoom as Annie O’Brien of the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History presents Katharine Hepburn: From Hartford to Hollywood on Thursday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m.

 

With a stage and film career that spanned six decades, Katharine Hepburn is an American icon. Born and raised in Connecticut, Hepburn had a career in stage, film and television that reflected the changing role of women in broader society.  The story of her life-long ties to Connecticut offers a complete picture of how Hepburn became the woman and the star she was.

 

Annie O’Brien is a Museum Educator at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. She develops and teaches educational programs for school and adult audiences. Annie formerly worked as a classroom teacher in the Avon Public School District and as a historic interpreter at The Mark Twain House and Museum. She holds a B.A. in Education from Miami University and an M.A. in Holistic Learning from The Graduate Institute of CT.
