Fall Prevention Workshop

Join us as the Sherman Library offers, Stay Balanced and Confident: Fall Prevention Workshop, a presentation by Kate Campbell of RVNAhealth on Thursday, January 30th at 12:00 p.m. at the Sherman Library.

 

Stay balanced and confident by preventing falls and staying safe at home and beyond. This workshop will cover essential fall prevention techniques and exercises to improve balance and strength, helping you feel secure and confident. Learn practical strategies, tools, and habits to keep you on your feet and give you peace of mind. Please dress in comfortable clothing.

This program will be led by RVNAhealth Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Dr. Kate Campbell, PT, DPT, SCS, Cert. MDT, CSCS. Kate is a physical therapist with RVNAhealth focusing on comprehensive sports injury therapy, she also provides post-joint replacement therapy, vestibular support and Otago balance training. Kate holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in exercise physiology with a double minor in strength & conditioning and biology. Kate is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in Sports Physical Therapy (currently one of only 18 physical therapists in the state of Connecticut with this distinction).
