Sherman Chamber Ensemble

The mission of the Sherman Chamber Ensemble is to bring world-class musicians to our communities and schools to perform a diverse range of music in a way that is intimate and inclusive.

For over 30 years, SCE has presented a summer season of world-class professional chamber music concerts in Sherman and Kent.  Its performances now extend to include jazz-inspired concerts over Thanksgiving weekend, bluegrass jamborees, pop/rock coffeehouses, education and entertaining programs for young people and families, and frequent appearances at area venues such as the Jewish Community Center in Sherman.  Annual educational programs at the Sherman School have included “Songs to Symphonies” productions in 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014, other classroom residencies and assembly programs.

The Sherman Chamber Ensemble is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization and is supported in large part by donations from individuals, businesses, foundations, and government grants, including the Connecticut Office of the Arts.
