Tree Warden
Mission Statement
The Tree Warden is responsible for the care and control of all trees and
shrubs that are located, in whole or in part, on Town-owned roads or
properties, except those along state highways, which are under the control of
the Commissioner of Transportation. Care and control extends to such limbs,
roots, or parts of trees and shrubs as extend or overhang the limits of any
such public road or ground. The Town contracts with an outside firm to do the
actual tree work.

property owner to share costs when the tree in question spans Town and private
