Mission Statement
The Sherman Renaissance Senior Center remains committed in servicing the
senior community and is available to respond to their interests, ideas and
concerns. The Director is also the
town’s Municipal Agent and Social Worker.

Office Hours:
8AM – 3PM, Monday – Friday. Visitors are encouraged to call first in
the event of the office being closed due to a trip or other activity.
Please note that during the renovation
of Old Town Hall, the temporary Senior Center office is located next to the
Resident Trooper at the Town Garage (43 Route 39 North).

Description
of Services & Fees
The Sherman Senior “Renaissance” Center operates under the direction of the
Office of the First Selectman. The center offers a variety of programs,
activities and trips, both educational and recreational, to Sherman
residents 55 years and older.

Monday
- MILE-BY-MILE Walking Group:
9:00 AM, Veterans Field track
- Pinochle: 12 PM at the Fire
House
- Blood Pressure Screening: 12
PM – 1 PM (every 2nd Monday) at the Fire House
- Birthday Celebration: 1 PM,
(every 2nd Monday) at the Fire House
Tuesday
- Bridge: 1 PM – 4 PM at the
JCC
- Senior Dine Around Club: 12
PM (every 4th Tuesday)
- Shopping Trip: Every Tuesday to Stop & Shop
Wednesday
- MILE-BY-MILE Walking Group:
9:00 AM, Veterans Field track
- Pinochle: 12 PM at the Fire

- TRIPS: Note: 1 – 2
