Parks and Recreation
Mission
Statement
The Park and Recreation Commission is charged with the preservation, control,
development, improvement, management, operation and maintenance of the Town’s
parks, forests and recreational facilities. It is responsible for supervision, development,
maintenance and preservation of Town playgrounds, playfields, boat moorings,
bathing beaches, ice skating and other recreational facilities. It conducts recreational and cultural
activities for the benefit of residents.
